SALON REALITES NOUVELLES 2017 - Parc de Floral, Paris, France - 15 to 22 October, 2017

For the 2017 Salon Realites Nouvelles in Paris I sent a cube sculpture "Cube Block Colour" consisting of 18 painted cardboard cubes tied together with yarn.

CORAMBA WALL - Me Healthy Living Workshop, Coramba - July to November, 2017

So we packed up and left Sydney in April to live in a small village in the hills west of Coffs Harbour called Glenreagh.  I met Sam who was running a wonderful little store in the next village of Coramba. The store sold bric-a-brac, local fruits and veges, coffees, cakes and much more.  Sam organised a "yarn bombing" of the streets trees and invited me to construct a work within a space that was used for a myriad of creative pursuits by local artisans.  I built a block wall at the end of the space and contributed various crocheted pieces for the yarn bombing.

BLACK BOX - Faux Mouvement Centre d'Art Contemporain, Metz, France - July 6th to October 22nd, 2017

'Black Box' resulted from an open call to artists to create an exhibition of postcards.  It was organised by artist Arvid Boecker of Boeckercontemporary in Heidelberg, Germany; and was originally exhibited as part of the Çonstellations de Metz art festival at the Faux Mouvement, Centre d'art contemporain, Metz, France.

The exhibition involved 250 artists from 22 countries and 5 continents - Germany, Netherlands, Cyprus, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, UK, Mexico, USA, Ireland, Israel, Morocco, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Thailand, Finland, Turkey and Denmark.  The cards were exhibited in a display case and were changed every two weeks so that all cards would be seen.

I contributed the work "Art Is Theft" - gouache applied over a pre-existing postcard from 1996 - the front and back of the card can be seen below.

ANNUAL GROUP SHOW 2017 - Factory 49, 49 Shepherd St, Marrickville - 18 to 27 May, 2017
